Susan Flaherty

Susan earned a BA in Psychology from Emory University and a Master’s degree in Special Education: Learning Disabilities from The Citadel. 1996-2000 Director of the remedial program at Trident Academy in Mt. Pleasant, SC, working with students using the Orton-Gillingham Approach. 1996-Present Fellow in the Academy of Orton Gillingham Practitioners & Educators (AOGPE) 2000-2020 As the Director of the Center for Academic Support, Susan worked with college students at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC. She supported students with disabilities in receiving their accommodations and academic support. In addition to supporting students with disabilities, Susan has presented at regional and national conferences on various topics regarding disabilities and learning strategies.
